Mediterranean Diet May Save Your Life

The American Heart Association recently announced that women on Mediterranean-type diets may lower their risk of suffering a heart attack or stroke. According to the AHA, U.S. women whose diets most closely match the traditional Mediterranean diet — high in monounsaturated fat, plant proteins, whole grains and fish — are significantly less likely to develop heart disease and stroke.
