Everyman Theatre presents Yasmina Reza’s award-winning play Art. Reza, a French playwright, actress, novelist and screenwriter, created a sensation when her play debuted in Europe in 1994. It has since been translated into more than 30 languages. Three friends begin to pick apart the seams of their 15-year friendship when one of them buys an expensive modern painting of white lines on a white ground. The essentially blank canvas becomes the centerpiece of a discussion of how we are defined: by ourselves, our possessions and our friends. Tickets are $18 to $35.
